AIRLINE GUIDES / CABIN CREW CLASS
Emirates Cabin Crew Career Guide
Read the official criteria, distinguish recruitment locations from the work base, and describe your service experience honestly. An independent guide for candidates from Indonesia.
Open official careers at Emirates ↗An independent CCC guide. Recruitment and employment decisions remain with Emirates.
Dubai work base, different recruitment locations
The official FAQ states that all Emirates cabin crew are based in Dubai. An event city is where recruitment takes place, rather than the work base. For example, an event in Jakarta would not make the role Jakarta-based; this example is not an announcement of an active Jakarta event.
Before planning travel, keep three separate notes: the work base, the event location actually listed, and the event's entry arrangements. Do not make travel decisions from a job title alone.

FACTS & SCOPE
Emirates's published requirements
General Emirates cabin crew requirements
- Minimum age 21; at least a high school education (Grade 12).
- At least 160 cm tall and able to reach 212 cm.
- Fluent in written and spoken English; able to work in a team.
- At least one year of hospitality or customer service experience.
- Meet UAE employment visa requirements; no tattoos visible while wearing the Emirates cabin crew uniform.
Height and reach are two different criteria. Grade 12 is the source's wording; do not assume that qualification equivalence is automatic. Record experience you have actually had, including dates and responsibilities.

A source's silence is neither permission nor a prohibition, and does not prove that no requirement exists. The airline must answer personal eligibility questions through its official process.
Open Days and invitation-only recruitment
The official source distinguishes Open Days, which candidates can attend according to the event instructions, from invitation-only events, which require an online application to be considered for an invitation. Submitting an application is not the same as receiving an invitation.
If your city is not listed, the official page directs candidates to apply online so they can be informed when recruitment comes nearby. Read the instructions for your chosen event; do not treat every recruitment route as having the same entry process.
Before attending an Open Day
Recheck the date, venue, time, role requirements and arrival instructions in the official source. Save the source link so you can check for changes.
For an invitation-only event
Use the application channel linked by the airline and follow the official invitation. Publicly visible event information does not replace an invitation.

The published Recruitment Day overview
At the time of checking, Emirates described an introduction to the role and life in Dubai, assessment through group activities and online tests at the venue, followed by a final interview. This summarises the Recruitment Day page; it does not promise an identical sequence for every recruitment route.
Use this overview to prepare your communication and documents. You can practise explaining your experience without memorising guesses about test questions. Follow the airline's latest information for your event or invitation.

Documents: follow the Recruitment Day instructions
The instructions request valid identification for entry and digital copies on your phone, ready to share if asked: an up-to-date CV in English, a copy of your education certificate and a passport copy in PDF format.
CV photograph, cover letter and file-size requirements: not stated in the official source checked within the Recruitment Day instructions. Do not turn this list into a universal document rule. If your invitation includes additional details, follow those official instructions.
- Check that names and education history on your CV match the original documents.
- Open the files on your device to make sure they are readable before travelling.
- Keep personal documents separate from practice materials; do not send them to anyone claiming to offer special access.

Turn real experience into practice material
Choose one occasion when you helped a customer whose needs were initially unclear. Write down your own actions and distinguish them from the team's work. If the outcome was not measured, describe what you could observe without inventing numbers.
Try explaining the experience in simple English. Afterwards, ask a friend whether they could follow the customer's need, your actions and the outcome. Their feedback helps make the story clearer; it does not predict Emirates' assessment.

Service Experience Map
Use one real experience from your work. You do not need the most dramatic story; choose one in which you can explain your own actions.
Context
What did the customer need, and what constraints shaped the situation? Avoid customer names or personal details.
What you did
What did you do yourself, in a sequence someone else can follow?
Communication
How did you listen, clarify and explain the options?
Outcome
What result did you actually observe? What remained unresolved?
Reflection
What would you repeat or improve in a similar situation?
Mark one sentence that is still too general, then replace it with a concrete action. Do not add experience, job titles or outcomes to make your answer sound stronger.
